  9.                      An Answer to that Age-Old Cop-Out

  11.           First off, know I am an atheist[and a Satanist, I will not
  12.      bother explaining to those who don't understand in this article]--I
  13.      don't believe in God.  The purpose of this essay is to show the
  14.      nature of the Christian God concept, how flawed it is, how it
  15.      cannot make sense.  Know from here on when I speak of "God" I am
  16.      speaking in a hypothetical, "let's say he exists" sense.  
  17.      
  18.           The first thought that made me question the Christian God
  19.      concept--"A loving god is not capable of condemning someone
  20.      forever" is often responded with something to the nature of "We
  21.      condemn ourselves.  God isn't responsible."  This is about the only
  22.      defense towards God's vengeful nature.  That and, of course, "God's
  23.      reasons are beyond human understanding."

  25.           Here's an analogy--is an abortion doctor responsible for the
  26.      "crime of abortion", or does it all fall on the woman?  Personally,
  27.      I'm impartial regarding abortion and its "moral questions", but it
  28.      seems most Christians are against abortion.  Most would say the
  29.      doctor is "very" responsible--but the doctor doesn't make the
  30.      choice.  The woman makes the decision "I will have an abortion",
  31.      she is not forced.  [Once again, I am not condemning a woman who
  32.      chooses abortion.]  Why should the doctor be held responsible?  The
  33.      human makes the choice to "defy" god--to stop believing in him, or
  34.      not to accept him.  The human indirectly might "condemn himself",
  35.      but who actually sends the soul to hell?  God does the final act,
  36.      I assume, for what sane being would say "I was a bad boy, therefore
  37.      I will go to hell now."  People might attack this analogy by
  38.      extending it--"But abortion doctors are evil!"--The question is
  39.      indirect or direct responsibility, not good and evil--"God is all
  40.      loving"--The point is not good or evil, remember--"God surpasses
  41.      logic and analogy"--Assuming we believe in your God, and what kind
  42.      of cop-out is that?  Your god must exist for me to be condemned. 
  43.      He is responsible, it seems.  
  44.      
  45.           [Someone might say I'm twisting scripture, some might even say
  46.      the vengeful nature of God is not to be taken literally.  Most of
  47.      the error in the Bible is blamed on human error when Christians
  48.      defend it, or on mistranslation.  But do you think a truly all-
  49.      powerful God would "inspire" a book destined to be deceptive from
  50.      the start?  And why would his divine word need to be twisted and
  51.      corrected to make sense?  If all errors in the Bible are because of
  52.      human limitation, then human twisting and contorting of scripture
  53.      is just as prone to "error".  When the literal meaning falls out to
  54.      science or common logic, hidden "occulted" meanings are searched
  55.      for.  Give up already!  Genesis is a MYTHICAL STORY.  You don't see
  56.      modern Greeks looking for hidden meanings in the old Zeus creation
  57.      story!  Obsolescence is obsolescence!]

  59.           AND WHY MUST CONDEMNATION EXIST?  Because God says so.  An
  60.      omnipotent being doesn't *HAVE* to do anything!  And an
  61.      omnibenevolent being could respond to any spite, smite, or defiance
  62.      with calm and kind understanding.  Condemnation only exists because
  63.      your God decided to make it so.  Humans don't hold power against
  64.      your God, do they?  So it's not OUR FAULT, is it?  We didn't say
  65.      "Now you must condemn us if we're bad."  Adam and Eve[this is all
  66.      assuming these things existed/happened] did not know that defying
  67.      god was wrong, did they?  They HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL! 
  68.      It seems man was damned from the start, under your creation myth--
  69.      God makes man, God allows temptation of man, God punishes man who
  70.      doesn't even know what evil is until he commits in.  Let's put it
  71.      this way:

  73.           Be Good.
  74.           What is good?  And why must I be good?
  75.           You do not know.  Be good because I am good, and I said so.
  76.           Why do you say so?
  77.           Because I will condemn you otherwise.
  78.           Why must you condemn me?
  79.           Because I have to.
  80.           Why?
  81.           Because I made it so, and because I said so.
  82.      
  83.           God puts forth the final act of soul-destruction.  God sends
  84.      the soul to hell.  Condemnation is only necessary because God says
  85.      so.  Why must it exist?  Because he says so.  Can you not see how
  86.      INCREDIBLY INSANE THIS IS?

  88.           The conclusion: Your god cannot exist.  I know if I ever
  89.      confronted him, I would not humble myself to him--I would kick his
  90.      ass in a religious debate.  Stop searching for hidden meanings. 
  91.      The Bible is obsolete.

  93.           Update: Many times things such as "evil" and "bad things in
  94.      general" are blamed on the devil.  Psycho Freak Jack Van Impe
  95.      lately has been putting the blame on ALIENS, which are of
  96.      course..LUCIFER'S ANGELS.  But go beyond that.  Who created this
  97.      "Lucifer"?  God, being omniscient, knew his "angel of light" would
  98.      fall.  Under an omniscient, omnipotent God responsible for all that
  99.      exists[knowing the outcome of his creation] wouldn't he deserve the
  100.      original blame for everything that could go wrong?  Question the
  101.      concept of this "God", and think for yourself.  "Who knows God's
  102.      reasons?" is nothing more than a cop-out that allows one to let
  103.      someone else do their thinking.
